September 2026 \u2013 Matters Graph gratuliert Macquarie Asset Management und den Co-Investoren, darunter UniSuper, zur Vereinbarung \u00fcber den Erwerb einer Mehrheitsbeteiligung an SI Solutions, einem Anbieter von L\u00f6sungen f\u00fcr die strukturelle Integrit\u00e4tspr\u00fcfung und Softwareentwicklung f\u00fcr Betreiber kritischer Infrastrukturen, von MidOcean Partners. Die Transaktion, die am 10. September 2026 angek\u00fcndigt wurde, wird vorbehaltlich der beh\u00f6rdlichen Genehmigungen und \u00fcblicher Abschlussbedingungen voraussichtlich im Herbst 2026 abgeschlossen. Nach \u00fcber einem Jahrzehnt stagnierenden Wachstums steigt der Strombedarf in den USA seit 2020 (EIA). Das Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory prognostiziert, dass allein der Stromverbrauch von Rechenzentren von rund 41.000 Tonnen im Jahr 2023 auf 7\u2013121.000 Tonnen bis 2028 ansteigen wird. Neun Reaktoren besitzen derzeit die Genehmigung der NRC f\u00fcr einen Betrieb von bis zu 80 Jahren, 13 weitere befinden sich im Pr\u00fcfverfahren (laut American Nuclear Society). Da neue Gasturbinen auf Jahre hinaus ausverkauft sind, m\u00fcssen bestehende Kraftwerke l\u00e4nger laufen. Die Deckung dieses Bedarfs h\u00e4ngt unter anderem von der Verl\u00e4ngerung der Lebensdauer bestehender Kraftwerke, Pipelines und Infrastrukturanlagen sowie vom Nachweis ihrer Betriebssicherheit ab.<\/p>\n\n

SI bietet Betreibern kritischer Infrastrukturen Ingenieurdienstleistungen, Pr\u00fcfungen und Software zur Bewertung der strukturellen Integrit\u00e4t. Das Unternehmen ist an 16 Standorten vertreten, f\u00fcnf davon mit Pr\u00fcflaboren, und betreut von seinem Hauptsitz in Huntersville, North Carolina, aus \u00fcber 330 Kunden. Urspr\u00fcnglich auf die Energieerzeugung spezialisiert, bedient SI heute die Bereiche Kernkraft und Gaskraftwerke, Pipelines, Petrochemie, Tiefbau und Industrie.
