NEW YORK, September 14, 2026—Matters Graph congratulates Macquarie Asset Management, along with co-investors including UniSuper, on its agreement to acquire a majority stake in SI Solutions, a provider of structural integrity engineering, testing, and software solutions to critical infrastructure owners and operators, from MidOcean Partners. The transaction, announced September 10, 2026, is expected to close in Fall 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Matters Graph (formerly GRAPH Strategy USA) supported Macquarie across the full scope of buy-side commercial due diligence, focused on SI’s nuclear, gas power, and gas pipeline markets. The work drew on Matters Graph’s experience in energy and utilities, engineering services, testing, inspection and certification, and asset-intensive end markets including power generation, pipelines, and civil infrastructure.

After more than a decade of flat growth, U.S. electricity demand has been rising since 2020 (EIA), and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory projects data centers alone will grow from about 4% of U.S. electricity consumption in 2023 to 7–12% by 2028. Nine reactors now hold NRC approval to operate to 80 years with 13 more under review (per the American Nuclear Society), and with new gas turbines sold out for years, existing plants must run longer. Meeting that demand depends in part on extending the life of existing power, pipeline, and civil assets, and on proving them safe to run.

About SI Solutions

SI provides structural integrity engineering, testing, and software to critical infrastructure owners and operators from 16 locations, five with testing labs, and serves more than 330 clients from its Huntersville, N.C. headquarters. Originally focused on power generation, the company now serves nuclear and gas power, pipelines, petrochemicals, civil infrastructure and industrial markets, evaluating asset safety, compliance and fitness for service across the full asset lifecycle. Its services span engineering assessments (stress, fatigue, and remaining-useful-life analysis), non-destructive evaluation and testing (NDE/NDT), laboratory failure analysis, and asset management software.

The Matters Graph team was led by Senior Partners Mark Stein and Jeff Merkle, along with Principal Shirley Zhan.
