Our Best Practice Briefs are the standing record of how we think about, and encourage others to run, commercial diligence: the questions that recur across our work, the failure modes we see repeated, and the analytical frames that hold up across sectors and cycles. We publish these because the discipline is better when we are able to align with our clients and more of the field practices it well. Drawn from more than twenty years of work, the Briefs are written to be used, on your own deals, by your own teams, not just read.
The Briefs are not a side project. They are where our thinking is worked out and written down, and the same thinking runs through every engagement we take, every market we cover, and every conversation we have with an investor. When a question recurs across deals, it becomes a Brief; when a Brief proves out in the field, it sharpens the next engagement. The library is the record of that loop, and the reason our work is consistent from one deal to the next.
